Kirby and King Dedede Cake
Kelsey's painted ponies got 3rd
place in the Teen Division at the
2009 Great American Cake Show.
Her off-set tiers, hand made
grass, and whimsical colors were
a winning combination.
Chance made this cake of
Kirby, a famous Nintendo
character, battling King
Dedede for the 2009 Great
American Cake Show.
I challenged my kids to try out cake decorating.
Kelsey, Chance, and Allison have shown great
talent and entered nearby cake competitions.
This page has some of their amazing cakes.

had realistic leather texture, gold title
embossing, and gilded pages.

Sushi Cake
Allison and I made this sushi
cake together for her culinary
class.  They had just learned how
to make real sushi, so this
seemed appropriate for the party.

Tacos and Chips Cake
This adorable chocolate Easter
bunny cake, with dyed Easter
eggs, came from Allison's creative
hands.  She swears she doesn't
want to be a pastry chef-she's
sticking to culinary.  Still, I think
this cake is very cute.
Chance, in only his second cake
competition, took first place in the
teen division (he's only 13) at the
2011 Great American Cake Show
with this realistic taco cake, which
includes chips & salsa (of course).
